Overview and Gameplay
A living-metal pilot is captured beyond the Hypergate, escapes an alien lab, and searches for the scattered pieces of the AIMS Intrepid. Metal Morph alternates between side-scrolling platform stages and ship-based shoot ’em up sections, using the hero’s liquid-metal transformation as its defining mechanic.
Controls And Mechanics
- On-foot stages mix jumping, directional shooting, switches, force fields, platforms, and enemy hazards.
- The morph ability turns the hero into liquid metal, useful for moving through pipes and surviving many threats.
- Ship stages shift into side-scrolling shooting with power-ups such as shields, speedups, continues, and smartbombs.
- Difficulty and fiction/action presentation can be adjusted from the options menu.
- The game is single-player only.
