Overview and Gameplay
A forbidden machine under the Magic School sets Paladin’s Quest in motion. Chezni, a gifted student on the world of Lennus, activates the ancient Dal Gren and is forced into a science-fantasy quest against the damage it unleashes.
This U.S. SNES release is a turn-based RPG originally released in Japan as Lennus: Kodai Kikai no Kioku. Players explore towns, dungeons, and the world map, recruit allies, fight random battles, earn experience, and save progress at hotels and other special points.
Controls And Mechanics
- Magic consumes HP instead of a separate MP meter, so spell use and survival draw from the same resource.
- Battles use directional command selection for actions such as spells, weapons, defense, and running.
- The party can include up to four members, mixing story characters with recruitable mercenaries.
- Recovery depends on items, bottles, and equipment effects rather than a standard healing-magic routine.
Version Notes
- This is the U.S. SNES localization of the Japanese Super Famicom game Lennus: Kodai Kikai no Kioku.
