Overview and Gameplay
Road Riot 4WD brings Atari Games’ off-road combat racer to SNES with weapon-equipped 4WD cars, split-screen racing, and short tracks built around bumps, hazards, and tight turns.
After a beginner qualifying race, players choose from additional world tracks and compete for placement, distance, and score bonuses while using missiles to slow rival cars.
Controls And Mechanics
- Directions steer the car, while A, B, X, and Y accelerate.
- L and R fire missiles, which slow opponents instead of destroying them.
- Start pauses the race.
- The display uses split-screen play, with the computer or second player shown on the lower screen.
- Two-player mode is simultaneous competitive racing, not co-op.
