Overview and Gameplay
The windmill menu leads young players into a set of Sodor activities based on Thomas the Tank Engine & Friends. This PAL SNES release is a one-player children’s puzzle and minigame collection with age-based challenge levels, read-along story scenes, quizzes, jigsaw and sliding puzzles, track-switching tasks, route-building, and races against Bertie or Percy.
Controls And Mechanics
- Pointer play: most activities use a gloved-hand cursor to choose icons, move pieces, set switches, and build routes.
- Puzzles: jigsaw and sliding puzzles focus on arranging pictures, while track games ask the player to guide Thomas to the right destination.
- Races: simple race minigames use repeated action inputs against Bertie or Percy.
- Difficulty: the game offers age groups for 4 and younger, 5 to 7, and 8 and older.
Version Notes
This is the European PAL SNES release, also branded as an Adventure Series title. It is separate from the Genesis/Mega Drive game and earlier computer games.
