Overview and Gameplay

A runaway infant crawls through cemeteries, caves, mines, and other hazardous areas while the player clears a safe path. Baby Boomer is an unlicensed side-scrolling shooter developed for the NES by Color Dreams.

Boomer moves automatically, so survival depends on shooting enemies, incoming hazards, and selected parts of the scenery. Milk bottles refill his shrinking milk meter, while twelve collected gold nuggets grant an extra life. Some objects create bridges, alter routes, or disable traps when shot.

Controls And Mechanics

  • Move the aiming cursor with the directional pad and press A to fire.
  • Press Start to pause or resume play.
  • The original NES Zapper can replace the standard controller for aiming and shooting.
  • Two-player co-op combines a Zapper user with a second player controlling another firing cursor by gamepad.
  • Later stages demand precise timing, hidden milk collection, and repeated shots against stronger threats.

Version Notes

This is the unlicensed North American release. The filename tag proper-verified describes ROM verification and is not part of the game title.
