Overview and Gameplay
Mario and Luigi face waves of creatures emerging from sewer pipes in a single-screen arena built around platforms, hazards, and wraparound edges. The goal is to clear each phase by flipping enemies from below, then kicking them away before they recover. Coins appear as enemies are defeated and reward quick movement across shifting platform layouts. Each phase increases pressure through faster enemies and more complex combinations rather than traditional level progression.
The action is tightly focused on timing and positioning, where controlling multiple threats at once becomes the main challenge. A central POW block can disrupt all grounded enemies at once, temporarily shifting the flow of the screen and creating openings for point chains.
Controls And Mechanics
- Movement across platforms and pipes is essential for positioning and avoiding contact with enemies

Version Notes
This NES release adapts the original arcade experience into a home version with Game A and Game B difficulty settings. The structure remains phase-based, but pacing and presentation are adjusted for console play. The competitive two-player format remains a defining feature.
