Overview and Gameplay

Street Fighter Zero 2 ’97 presents two-dimensional one-on-one battles with health bars, timed rounds, and a 99-second clock. The single-player mode sends a chosen fighter through computer-controlled opponents, while a second player can join for simultaneous versus matches.

Nine unique fighters appear across a larger selection grid with repeated slots: Ryu, Chun-Li, Ken, Nash, Guy, Adon, Sagat, Sodom, and Gouki. Six arenas host the fights, and winning the required rounds advances the campaign.

Controls And Mechanics

The directional pad moves, jumps, crouches, and enters special-move commands. A punches and B kicks. Quarter-circle motions, repeated downward inputs, and simultaneous button presses activate projectiles, movement attacks, and fighter-specific techniques.

Sustained damage can leave a fighter dizzy. Super techniques are available without a visible meter, and depleted health or an expired timer determines each round.

Version Notes

This unlicensed Hummer Team adaptation draws its roster, opening sequence, graphics, and music from Street Fighter Zero. The full ’97 edition retains nine unique fighters, while repeated selection positions expand the visible roster grid.
