Overview and Gameplay
Super Contra 7 sends one or two soldiers through five side-scrolling run-and-gun stages. City streets, lava caves, jungle routes, industrial platforms, and a skull-filled dungeon each end with an alien or mechanical boss.
Enemy groups rush across the screen while flying carriers release weapons and explosives. Clearing the final stage displays the credits before the campaign returns to the opening area.
Controls And Mechanics
The directional pad moves, crouches, and aims in multiple directions. A jumps and B fires the equipped weapon. Available pickups include a rapid flame gun, laser, spread shot, temporary barrier, screen-clearing bomb, and extra life.
Contact with enemies, hazards, or bosses costs a life. Six continues extend the campaign. Two players can advance together on the same screen and attack bosses simultaneously.
Version Notes
This unlicensed run-and-gun uses original stage arrangements with visual material adapted from several other action games. Later releases circulated under titles including Super Contra 8 and Super Fight I.
