Overview and Gameplay
Lester Knight Chaykin is thrown into an alien world after a lightning strike hits his particle accelerator experiment. This European SNES release uses the original Another World title, known in North America as Out of This World.
The game is a cinematic platform adventure built around precise movement, visual storytelling, traps, puzzles, and sudden danger. Lester escapes captivity, works with an alien ally, and survives through scene-based challenges instead of a traditional score or health-heavy arcade structure.
Controls And Mechanics
- Survival: hazards and enemy attacks often kill instantly, so progress depends on timing, observation, and checkpoints.
- Movement: Lester can walk, run, duck, jump, swim, use elevators, and interact with specific objects.
- Combat: early defense includes kicking, while the later energy pistol fires shots, creates shields, and charges stronger blasts.
- Progression: access codes let players return to later sections.
- Players: this SNES release is for one player only.
Version Notes
The European SNES title is Another World. The same game was released as Out of This World in North America and Outer World in Japan.
