Overview and Gameplay
Timmy and Jamie are pulled into a dinosaur video world after an experimental device goes wrong, then team up with Rex and Tops to recover a stolen fuse from the Rockys. Dino City is a side-scrolling SNES platformer based loosely on Adventures in Dinosaur City.
The player chooses between two child-and-dinosaur teams. Rex uses close-range attacks, while Tops has a more projectile-based style. Stages mix jumping, enemy fights, ladders, ropes, hidden doors, bonus areas, and boss battles across six main worlds.
Controls And Mechanics
- Switch between the child and dinosaur to handle enemies, platforms, and level obstacles.
- The child can dismount and use a remote-style attack, while the dinosaur can crouch and help with positioning.
- Hearts, Egg Life items, 1-UP rewards, checkpoints, continues, and passwords support progression.
- Two-player mode is alternating play, not simultaneous co-op.
