Overview and Gameplay
The Silver Hawk returns to battle Pelsar’s forces in Super Nova, a horizontal SNES shooter known in Japan as Darius Force. Players choose from three fighter types, clear branching defense zones, collect power pods, and face large battle cruisers at the end of routes.
Controls And Mechanics
- Eight-way movement keeps the Silver Hawk dodging enemy fire through side-scrolling stages.
- The main battery and torpedo or laser attacks use a power balance system, rewarding careful weapon use.
- Red pods increase attack power, blue pods strengthen shields, and green pods provide extra benefits.
- Route choices after cleared zones create different paths through the campaign.
- This is a single-player shooter with no two-player or co-op mode.
Version Notes
