Overview and Gameplay
Ms. Pac-Man Maze Madness sends Ms. Pac-Man across four regions to recover the Gems of Virtue and rescue Professor Pac. The Game Boy Advance campaign contains 13 isometric stages filled with Pac-Dots, fruit, switches, keys, movable blocks, hazards, and exits.
Each stage awards separate Gold Stars for beating the par time, collecting all fruit, eating every Pac-Dot, and exceeding the par score. Stars measure completion and unlock access to the full final encounter. Defeating Mesmerelda also grants a Witch Key that opens special doors in earlier stages.
Controls And Mechanics
The directional pad moves Ms. Pac-Man along maze paths. A displays the heads-up information, B returns through menus, and START pauses play. Walking into blocks pushes them, while switches and floor buttons activate on contact.
- Power Pellets make enemies vulnerable for a limited time.
- Hearts restore health, while losing all health costs a life and returns Ms. Pac-Man to the latest checkpoint.
- Ice blocks slide until obstructed, TNT destroys breakable barriers, and Nitro boxes must be detonated safely.
Game Link Cable matches support two to four players with a separate cartridge for each system. Dot Mania races to 80 dots, Ghost Tag requires catching Ms. Pac-Man before eating 50 dots, and Da Bomb passes an explosive between competitors.
Version Notes
The GBA edition uses newly arranged stages and isometric 2D environments while retaining the Gold Star objectives and competitive link modes.
