Overview and Gameplay
Destron Gas machines are weakening Earth’s fighters, sending Goku, Gohan, Piccolo, Future Trunks, and Vegeta into an original Dragon Ball Z side story. This Famicom RPG mixes board-like map travel, exploration, puzzles, and turn-based card battles across Earth and space.
Cards determine movement distance, attack type, and special events. In combat, arranging character-specific card sequences triggers techniques, while story events and training improve HP and expand the number of usable cards. There is no conventional experience or money system.
Controls And Mechanics
- Directions: Move on maps and select commands or cards.

- B: Cancel or return, and attempt the same timed defense against energy attacks.

- The story is single-player. A separate Tenkaichi Budokai tournament supports local versus matches for up to five participants by rotating two controllers through the bracket.
Version Notes
This is the original Japan-only Famicom release. It had no official English NES edition and should not be confused with the later Playdia adaptations or the 2010 animated remake.
