Overview and Gameplay
DOH returns to block Commander Therle’s scout ships with formations scattered across space. This SNES sequel keeps Arkanoid’s paddle-and-ball foundation while adding 99 rounds, bosses, passwords, edit mode, Super NES Mouse support, and several two-player options.
The player moves a scout ship along the bottom of the screen, keeps the ball in play, breaks colored and silver blocks, uses gold blocks for rebounds, and collects falling capsules. Progress leads through regular stages and boss fights against DOH-related enemies.
Controls And Mechanics
- Blocks: colored blocks break quickly, silver blocks need several hits, and gold blocks cannot be destroyed.
- Capsules: power-ups can add lasers, shields, multi-ball, a larger ship, ball grab, warp effects, extra lives, or reset changes.
- Bosses: boss rounds appear at set points, including Super DOH encounters.
- Edit mode: custom puzzle layouts can be created with blocks, enemies, capsules, and backgrounds.
- Multiplayer: the game supports alternating, simultaneous, and competitive two-player modes.
