Overview and Gameplay
Belser’s forces return to threaten the Darius worlds, and the Silver Hawk fleet launches another horizontal shooting mission. This Super Famicom entry in Taito’s Darius series was made for the console and later appeared in North America as Super Nova.
Players choose one of three Silver Hawk fighter types, fly through side-scrolling enemy zones, collect power pods, fight large mechanical bosses, and select routes through branching stage paths.
Controls And Mechanics
- Each Silver Hawk type has different weapon behavior and tradeoffs.
- The main shot and auxiliary torpedo or laser weapons are controlled separately.
- Red pods strengthen attacks, blue pods improve shields, and green pods add another ship.
- The route map leads through different zones and endings.
- The game is single-player only, unlike Darius Twin.
Version Notes
