Overview and Gameplay
Dora and Boots call on the Explorer Stars to rescue friends and solve problems across six selectable adventures. Each story follows its own route through activities such as mazes, vehicle rides, cave searches, repairs, matching tasks, and musical sequences.
Objectives include collecting stars during Tico’s Rocket-Car trip, finding Roberto’s missing parts, rebuilding Benny’s xylophone, returning lost belongings, waking the Sun, and repairing railway gaps for Azul. Special Explorer Stars provide the power needed for each task, including light, tools, noise, guidance, music, speed, and shape-changing abilities.
Controls And Mechanics
The directional pad moves Dora, steers vehicles, and selects routes, objects, or puzzle pieces. A performs contextual actions such as jumping, catching stars, digging, placing parts, choosing objects, and activating Explorer Star powers. B serves as an additional contextual action and menu command. Start confirms selections and pauses or resumes an adventure.
Progress depends on completing each activity instead of building a shared score. Incorrect puzzle choices allow another attempt, and the picture-led instructions use spoken prompts and animation to guide play.
