Overview and Gameplay
Hello Kitty prepares a series of parties by exploring the park, neighborhood, shops, beach, and her home. Each party requires specific guests, decorations, food, gifts, music, and activities. Friends can be invited directly or through Friendship Notes, while supplies are found in the environment or earned through minigames.
Party Time contains six party events. The journal tracks required guests, unfinished tasks, and completed preparations. Once the location is ready, the party begins and a timer starts. Talking to guests, serving suitable food, giving preferred gifts, playing music, decorating the area, and cleaning up rubbish raise each guest’s Happy Meter. The final party rating determines whether the event is cleared and awards a password for later parties.
Party Games provides direct access to 13 minigames, including matching cards, sliding puzzles, balloon launching, rhythm challenges, bowling, pinball, baking, invitation drawing, and dress-up.
Controls And Mechanics
The directional pad moves and turns Hello Kitty, navigates menus, and handles aiming or cursor movement in minigames. A confirms choices, interacts with characters and objects, uses items, and performs primary minigame actions. B cancels selections and serves as a secondary action in specific activities. L and R switch between inventory and journal pages and operate certain minigame controls. Start pauses play, while Select opens the inventory and journal during Party Time.
