Overview and Gameplay
Seven years after the Cell Games, Gohan begins high school as the Great Saiyaman while Goku remains in the Other World. The campaign follows the Z Fighters through the World Tournament, Babidi’s plans, Majin Vegeta, Super Buu, Kid Buu, and additional battles involving Broly and Janemba. Story chapters move between towns, outdoor regions, dungeons, tournaments, boss fights, searches, and short event challenges.
Controls And Mechanics
Directions move or steer during flight, A performs melee attacks, B uses the selected energy technique, L cycles techniques, and R blocks. Holding R while pressing B creates an energy shield that consumes EP. Goku, Gohan, Goten, Trunks, and Vegeta level separately, gain three stat points per level, and equip gear for Body, Hand, Feet, and Accessory slots.
Food restores HP, drinks restore EP, and Zenie buys equipment and supplies. Character Gates require a specific fighter and level before opening. Transformations raise combat attributes while draining energy, and timed Fusion Dance inputs create Gotenks or Gogeta. Game Link Cable play supports competitive Dojo battles and trading of equipment or Zenie.
