Overview and Gameplay
Power Rangers: Time Force follows the Rangers as they pursue Ransik and his mutant criminals through history. Five main levels visit the Wild West, a pirate island, ancient Rome, Egypt, and the prehistoric age. Each area contains side-scrolling combat, platforms, hazards, mutant bosses, and Megazord battles.
Red, Blue, Green, Yellow, and Pink Rangers have separate health and combat statistics. The selection menu allows switching among active Rangers during most stages. Quantum Morphers temporarily transform the current character into the Quantum Ranger, while passwords preserve progress after completed levels.
Controls And Mechanics
Use the Control Pad to move, crouch, or dash. A jumps, B attacks, L fires the Vortex Blaster, R uses the Chrono-Saber, and Select opens the Ranger selection menu. Charged attacks consume Special Energy and can strike the screen, empower the saber, or strengthen the blaster.
Health items restore injured Rangers, revive icons return retired teammates, and Time Stoppers freeze enemies. Megazord battles use sword attacks, jumping strikes, and a shield while energy builds toward a finishing move.
Version Notes
The Game Boy Advance edition uses dedicated 2D Ranger stages, temporary Quantum Ranger transformations, team switching, and side-view Megazord battles.
