Overview and Gameplay
Eric Staufer’s experimental laser releases the Phantom Virus from a Scooby-Doo video game and later sends Mystery Inc. into cyberspace. The gang must clear six digital worlds, gather clues, defeat the virus, and identify the person who set it free.
Scooby-Doo, Shaggy, Fred, Daphne, and Velma are selectable before each stage. The university laboratory serves as a hub where newly recovered CDs unlock the Roman Coliseum, Ocean Chase, Prehistoric Jungle, Arctic Snow Chase, Ocean Boardwalk, and Video Arcade.
Controls And Mechanics
The directional pad moves, runs, ducks, and enters doors. A jumps and confirms choices, B performs the current action or uses an item, L chooses an available character, and R activates a disguise.
Standard stages require enough Scooby Snacks to reveal the exit box while clues support the final accusation. Chase stages use a jet ski or snowmobile across three lanes. Each character has separate health; losing it captures that gang member, and losing all five ends the attempt. Smiley Faces restore health, Scooby Snacks raise the score, and passwords preserve progress, clues, score, and remaining characters.
Version Notes
The Game Boy Advance edition uses a dedicated 2D campaign with a laboratory hub, six cyberspace stages, five selectable gang members, disguises, score tracking, and password progress.
