Overview and Gameplay
Mystery Inc. displays costumes from former villains at the Coolsville Criminology Museum, but an unknown figure brings the monsters to life and releases them across the city. Scooby-Doo, Shaggy, and Daphne investigate five areas containing twenty platforming, pursuit, puzzle, vehicle, and boss sections.
Stages require character-specific attacks, environmental objectives, clue items, and enough Scooby Snacks to reveal the finishing box. Completed sections unlock later areas, replayable minigames, and monster battles, while passwords preserve campaign progress.
Controls And Mechanics
The directional pad moves, runs, climbs, enters doors, ducks, and crawls. A jumps or performs contextual actions, B uses each character’s standard and aerial attacks, and R throws available items such as Green Goo or the Magnifying Glass.
Courage serves as health. Chicken restores half of the meter, hamburgers restore it fully, and emblems grant extra Tries. Collecting every Scooby Snack in a stage awards another Try and marks the stage with a completion star. Minigames include circuit puzzles, downhill obstacle runs, stealth sequences, and Mystery Machine chases.
Version Notes
The Game Boy Advance edition uses a dedicated 2D campaign with three playable characters, twenty numbered sections, password progress, replayable minigames, and postgame monster battles.
