Overview and Gameplay
Car Battler Joe follows Joe Todoroki as he becomes a Car Battler and searches for his missing father across Galacia. Towns contain shops, garages, job offices, license tests, and story events, while road areas use behind-the-car vehicle combat. Missions include deliveries, passenger transport, item recovery, enemy destruction, and duels.
Experience raises Joe’s level, and higher licenses unlock stronger assignments. Vehicle construction uses Panther, Tiger, Mammoth, or Eagle chassis, engines, and bodies. Garage expansion increases storage and supports additional construction projects.
Controls And Mechanics
The directional pad steers and selects Overdrive actions, A accelerates, and R fires the weapon chosen by the targeting system. L ejects the latest cargo item, which can strike pursuing vehicles. B activates assigned jumps, boosts, turns, slides, barriers, or other Overdrives, while Start opens the menu.
Vehicles mount two to four weapons and use armor, hit points, resistances, and handling statistics. Destroyed enemies may drop money, healing items, equipment, materials, and Overdrive cards. Battle League supports simultaneous linked arena matches with up to four vehicles, including computer-controlled positions.
