Overview and Gameplay

Dragon Ball Z: Supersonic Warriors is an aerial fighting game featuring one-on-one matches and teams of up to three characters. Story routes follow individual fighters through major battles and alternate outcomes, while Saga routes switch between characters during longer Dragon Ball Z storylines.

Z Battle presents tournament-style sequences with solo and team rankings. Challenge Mode uses predetermined enemy teams, Free Battle allows configurable matches, and Training includes tutorials and adjustable practice settings. Completing Story, Z Battle, and Challenge runs awards money for unlocking fighters, stronger character levels, additional sagas, higher difficulty settings, and Museum content.

Controls And Mechanics

Fighters move across the ground and air, sprint toward opponents, hover, guard, counterattack, and substitute teammates. Weak and strong attacks lead into Z Combos, while Ki powers projectiles, finishing moves, Instant Transfer, and character-specific abilities.

Health determines defeat, the Ki Gauge supplies energy techniques, and the Battle Gauge measures guard endurance. Blocking until the Battle Gauge empties causes Guard Crash and temporarily prevents defense. Two-player Link Cable battles support simultaneous competitive matches with solo fighters or teams.
