Overview and Gameplay
Ecks vs. Sever II: Ballistic follows former FBI agent Jonathan Ecks and former NSA operative Sever as they investigate an international weapons conspiracy. Each character has a separate campaign of objective-based first-person missions involving infiltration, rescues, sabotage, pursuit, and target elimination.
Stages use passwords to preserve progress. Mission goals can include protecting hostages, avoiding civilian casualties, reaching extraction points, or completing tasks before a timer expires.
Controls And Mechanics
Combat uses handguns, machine guns, shotguns, sniper rifles, grenades, rockets, and guided weapons. Characters can move, strafe, crouch, swim, climb ladders, use ventilation shafts, operate terminals, open doors, and collect keycards or mission equipment.
Armor and medikits extend survival, while ammunition limits each weapon. Competitive link modes include Deathmatch, Assassination, Bomb Kit, and Capture the Flag. Two players can also complete dedicated cooperative missions through a Game Link Cable.
