Overview and Gameplay
FIFA 07 features licensed club and national teams in single matches, tournaments, challenges, and a five-season Career Mode. Career objectives award Prestige Points, while poor results reduce prestige and can end the managerial run. Higher prestige grants Coaching Bonuses that improve player abilities and the team rating.
Tournament Mode follows scheduled fixtures and standings. Challenge Mode begins from preset match situations with goals such as holding a draw, completing a comeback, or winning by a required margin. Team management covers lineups, substitutes, formations, and set-piece roles.
Controls And Mechanics
The directional pad moves the selected footballer and aims passes or set pieces. A shoots in attack and tackles in defense, while B passes or changes the controlled defender. L modifies passes and tackles or calls a second defender, and R activates sprinting.
Sprinting drains fitness, which recovers at normal pace. Sustained attacks, shots, and goals build momentum and temporarily improve team performance. Free kicks, goal kicks, and penalties use a timing meter for power and accuracy. Two players can compete simultaneously through a Game Boy Advance Game Link Cable, with one system and cartridge per player.
