Overview and Gameplay

A young woman buys a neglected farm near Mineral Town and chooses to restore it. Days follow an in-game clock, while four seasons change crops, weather, festivals, and town schedules. Farm income pays for seeds, animals, tools, house upgrades, and facilities.

Work includes clearing fields, planting and watering crops, shipping produce, caring for livestock, fishing, mining, gathering lumber, cooking, and building friendships. Gifts and conversations unlock character events, and the heroine can court eligible bachelors, marry, and raise a child. Befriended Harvest Sprites can water crops, harvest produce, or care for animals.

Controls And Mechanics

The Control Pad moves the heroine and navigates menus. A talks, examines objects, confirms choices, and handles carried items. B uses the equipped tool or cancels. L calls the dog or horse and supports shortcuts, while R switches between running and walking. Start opens the main menu, and Select opens the earnings and status display.

Stamina, fatigue, daylight, weather, inventory space, feed, and seasonal growing periods limit each day. Tools improve through use and mined ores. Crops, animal products, foraging, fishing, and mining provide money, while affection, recipes, shipments, and Farm Degree records track progress.

Version Notes

This female-protagonist edition adds a new opening story and bachelor romance routes. It connects with Harvest Moon: Another Wonderful Life on GameCube to exchange information and unlock connected content.
