Overview and Gameplay
Yu-Gi-Oh! 7 Trials to Glory: World Championship Tournament 2005 lets a duelist explore Battle City, challenge opponents, shop for cards, and enter weekly tournaments. Victories award Duel Points for booster packs, Structure Decks, and password-machine cards. About 1,000 cards support up to 20 stored decks. Progression leads through Weekend Tournaments, the KC Cup, restriction-based events, and the Championship before opening Shadow World challenges.
Controls And Mechanics
A legal Main Deck contains at least 40 cards, while Match Duels allow Side Deck exchanges between games. Weekly Forbidden, Limited, and Semi-Limited lists change deck restrictions. The directional pad moves the character and selects cards or commands. A talks, confirms actions, and draws when prompted; B cancels or opens the phase menu. L and R remove or add cards in the deck editor, while R also challenges nearby duelists. Survival modes carry remaining Life Points between consecutive battles. Two players can compete in Single or Match Duels through a Game Boy Advance Game Link Cable, and linked cartridges can trade cards.
Version Notes
The North American cartridge includes English, Japanese, French, German, Italian, and Spanish interface text. European releases use the title Yu-Gi-Oh! Day of the Duelist: World Championship Tournament 2005.
