Overview and Gameplay
Klonoa enters Garlen’s Dream Champ Tournament to compete for the title of Greatest Hero. The adventure spans five Worlds, each divided into nine Visions that include puzzle stages, action courses, and tournament boss events.
Puzzle Visions require Klonoa to collect three Moon Stones and reach the Moon Door. Hover Board stages scroll automatically through obstacle courses, while Athletic Challenges test precise movement across hazards. Boss Visions often become races against rival contestants, with captured enemies used to slow opponents or activate cannons.
Controls And Mechanics
Klonoa runs, jumps, climbs, hovers briefly with his ears, and uses a Wind Bullet to capture enemies or movable objects. Captives can be thrown at switches and targets or consumed during a second jump for extra height.
Stages use keys, explosive boxes, timed Boomies, colored barriers, vines, whirlwinds, cannons, and moving platforms. Dream Stones reveal sections of the Dream Gallery, while hidden Sun Stones unlock extra challenges. Hearts restore the Life Meter, and losing all health costs one life.
Completed Visions receive an S, A, B, or C rank based on Dream Stones collected, retries used, and damage taken.
