Overview and Gameplay
Career Mode follows a roster of professional skaters across six objective-based courses and the unlockable Boston Rooftops stage. Goals include reaching score targets, collecting S-K-A-T-E letters, finding hidden tapes, completing named tricks, locating cash, and earning medals in competitions.
Cash unlocks courses and purchases stat upgrades, boards, and special tricks. Single Session provides a two-minute score run, Free Skate removes the timer, and Kid Mode improves balance and landing stability.
Controls And Mechanics
The directional pad steers the skater and controls balance during manuals and grinds. Releasing the crouch button performs an ollie, while the other buttons trigger grinds, lip tricks, wallrides, flip tricks, grabs, nollies, and stance changes.
Manuals, grinds, spins, grabs, and transfers connect tricks into combinations. Repeated tricks lose value, clean landings increase points, and a bail ends the combo. Successful moves fill the Special Bar, which enables equipped signature tricks while full.
Version Notes
This Game Boy Advance adaptation rebuilds the courses around a fixed isometric viewpoint and uses a polygonal skater. It includes stages adapted from the first two Tony Hawk games, an exclusive Boston Rooftops course, and an original cartridge soundtrack.
