Overview and Gameplay
Yu-Gi-Oh! Ultimate Masters: World Championship Tournament 2006 centers on turn-based card duels against computer-controlled opponents. Victories earn Duel Points for booster packs, while completed duels and challenges unlock stronger opponents and additional cards. The game contains more than 2,000 cards and begins with a choice of six Structure Decks. Free Duel, Duel Puzzles, Limited Duels, Theme Duels, and Survival Duel provide different objectives and restrictions.
Controls And Mechanics
Each standard duel begins with five cards and 8,000 Life Points. A legal Main Deck contains at least 40 cards and follows Forbidden, Limited, and Semi-Limited restrictions. Victory comes from reducing the opponent’s Life Points to zero, preventing a draw, or completing a card-specific win condition. The directional pad selects cards and commands, A confirms and can force Chain prompts, and B cancels or skips activation prompts. Two players can compete through a Game Boy Advance Game Link Cable in single or match duels.
Version Notes
The North American cartridge includes English, Japanese, French, German, Spanish, and Italian interface text. The Huge Revolution Theme Duel does not register as completed, which blocks normal access to the final challenge reward.
