Overview and Gameplay
Pac-Man World 2 follows Pac-Man after the Ghost Gang steals five Golden Fruits and releases Spooky from an ancient tree. The Game Boy Advance campaign contains 17 platform stages and boss encounters that unlock in sequence.
Pac-Man crosses scrolling environments, defeats enemies, collects fruit, and reaches each stage exit. Matching fruit opens marked crates, while treasure chests conceal additional items. Completed levels can be replayed in Time Trial mode, and hidden Galaxian Keys unlock classic maze challenges.
Controls And Mechanics
The directional pad moves Pac-Man. A jumps, performs a Butt-Bounce in midair, powers a Rev Jump, and controls upward swimming. B charges the Rev Roll, performs an airborne Flip Kick, and dives underwater. L lets Pac-Man inspect nearby areas, SELECT displays the status information, and START pauses play.
- Rev Rolls build speed for steep slopes and damage enemies.
- Steel Ball power-ups grant temporary invulnerability and allow Pac-Man to walk underwater.
- Health wedges absorb damage, and losing the full meter costs one life.
- Passwords restore campaign progress after completed stages.
Version Notes
The GBA edition rebuilds the adventure as a 17-stage scrolling platform game while retaining the Golden Fruit quest, swimming, Time Trials, and unlockable Pac-Man mazes.
