Overview and Gameplay
TMNT follows the 2007 animated film as Leonardo, Raphael, Donatello, and Michelangelo confront the Foot Clan and thirteen escaped monsters. The side-scrolling campaign spans seven acts across Manhattan streets, rooftops, underground areas, and Winters’ castle. Each Turtle uses a signature weapon and distinct attributes, while completed acts award experience that raises the team from level 1 to level 3. Money earned from enemies and destructible objects buys healing items, extra lives, equipment, temporary weapons, and new abilities between missions.
Controls And Mechanics
The directional pad moves the active Turtle and aims attacks. A jumps, while B performs weapon strikes, combinations, grabs, throws, and temporary-weapon attacks. Directional techniques include uppercuts, kicks, rolls, flying attacks, and sweeps. Consecutive hits fill a partner meter; L or R summons the selected computer-controlled Turtle to attack or leave food when the area is clear. Repeated pairings strengthen Brotherhood Bond attacks. Health loss costs a life, and the game saves after each act.
Version Notes
The North American cartridge includes English, French, and Spanish. This Game Boy Advance edition uses a dedicated 2D beat-’em-up structure with a hub, shops, character leveling, and AI partner summons.
