Overview and Gameplay

Soma Cruz awakens inside Dracula’s castle during a solar eclipse in 2035 and searches for a way to escape. The interconnected castle contains locked routes, hidden rooms, bosses, shops, save points, and warp rooms. Soma gains experience, collects equipment, and acquires movement abilities that open previously inaccessible areas. Multiple endings depend on late-game actions and equipped souls. Completing the campaign unlocks additional modes, including Hard Mode, Boss Rush, Julius Mode, and New Game+.

Controls And Mechanics

The directional pad moves Soma and crouches, A jumps, and B attacks with the equipped weapon. Bullet Souls provide active attacks, Guardian Souls create sustained effects, Enchant Souls grant passive bonuses, and Ability Souls add movement techniques. HP measures health, while regenerating MP powers soul abilities. Weapons differ in speed, reach, and attack strength; armor and accessories modify Soma’s statistics. Defeated enemies grant experience and may drop gold, items, equipment, or collectible souls. Boss Rush measures completion time across consecutive boss battles.
